PROFILE 

SUSAN LEE, PhD, CPTN-CPT, is the president of Synergetics Wellness and the Certified Professional Trainers Network (CPTN). As a CPTN-Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) (www.cptn.com), certified Pilates instructor and Thai Yoga bodywork practitioner, she specializes in post-rehabilitation training, sport-specific conditioning, and active aging. She is an award-winning leader in the area of fitness, equity, diversity and inclusion at the University of Toronto.

Susan has implemented personal training, fitness, and equity, diversity and inclusion programs at the University of Toronto for over 20 years. She is the author of Online Personal Training: Taking Control of Your Personal Training & Fitness Business, co-author of Business Strategies for Personal Training and Start Your Fitness Business (book and online course).

Susan holds a Bachelor of Physical Education and Health (BPHE) from the University of Toronto (U of T) Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, Master of Physical Education (MPE) in exercise physiology and adult education from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology & Equity Studies from the U of T Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (UofT/OISE), and a PhD in social justice education from UofT/OISE. 

Susan lectures at the college and university levels on fitness, leadership, business and social justice. She presents at international conferences and publishes in peer-reviewed journals and educational platforms to share her research, practices and passions.
